Why hello everyone, long time no see!

Well, let me to expound! I have indeed been hard at work, learning programming and web development in order to create the most epic manga community website evah!!!!!111

Yes, I have hardly seen any daylight for months, that's how busy I was... But now it LIVES! The MangaDojo is online. In beta, that is: [link]


But why, you might inquire, do we need a Manga Dojo if we have DeviantArt and the likes of SmackJeeves or Drunk Duck to showcase our manga?

Let me give you five reasons why MangaDojo is awesome:

1 - It's for manga artists (and readers). I have built it completely from scratch to serve exactly the needs that manga artists have. Being one myself, I think I have a good idea of what those things are. MangaDojo has no slack, no category confusion, and certainly no annoying ads.

2 - You can add your artwork, tutorials and manga to one place and even interconnect them with one click! Each type of work has its own optimized submission process, it's fast and easy as pie.

3 - Dojo! Manga are often drawn in small teams, so that's why you can create a dojo with your friends where you can add all the stuff you've created together. Of course you can also have a dojo all for yourself

4 - Ryo! Ryo is the digital currency (of sorts) on MangaDojo. Although currently you can only get Ryo by submitting work, once the beta testing is concluded you will actually be able to buy Ryo AND turn it back to $ ! Ryo will be used as prices in contests, as payment for commission work and as a form of donating! No fees or strings attached, just a pure form of exchange.

5 - Did I really say five? Five is not enough XD !! Let's see, what else have we got? How about watchlists, a reading history, commission pages, a community board and there's probably even a cake in there somewhere (well, the cake may be a lie )
